  • Adjust your standards or rigid ideas on how things should be.

Accept What You Can't Change

  • Don’t try to control the uncontrollable.
  • Identify and remind yourself of the positives in your life.
  • Share your thoughts and feelings about what you are going through with someone you trust.
  • Learn to forgive and let go.

It is essential to focus on your needs and set aside time to have fun. This restores your energy and ability to handle stress, which helps you to better help your child.

  • Schedule or set aside relaxation time.
  • Connect with others who have a positive attitude.
  • Do something you enjoy every day.
  • Keep your sense of humor.

Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

  • Get enough sleep.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Eat a healthy diet.
  • Reduce caffeine and sugar.
